Icon Development

The Icon, is a development by Hollybrook consisting of 121 contemporary apartments and retail units and is taking shape in Basildon’s town centre opposite the Railway Station. (please click title for more information)

The development is due for completion in Feb/March 2008, however due to its striking design, chic interiors and affordability with apartments starting at £159,995, a large number have already been sold off plan.

The landmark Icon development is just one of a number of housing projects that’s changing the face of Basildon as part of the town centre’s £1 billion regeneration.

The Basildon Renaissance Partnership (BRP) together with Basildon District Council produced a Development Framework for the town centre that was approved in 2006. A strategic development partner is now being sought to deliver over 3,500 new homes, new shops, new offices, a landmark Civic Centre and new Station Quarter, which the Icon development will overlook.

Basildon’s town centre will change quite significantly over the coming years and the addition of The Icon at its heart is seen as a step in the right direction.
